What is therapy like?
Because each person has different issues and goals, the sessions will be different depending on the individual. In general, you can expect to discuss the current events happening in your life, your personal history relevant to your issue (only once and only during the consultation), and report progress or any new insights gained from the previous therapy session. Depending on your specific needs, therapy and Life Coaching can be short-term, 6-8 weeks, with 2 half hour sessions each week, or long-term. once a week for ?, to deal with more difficult patterns or your desire for more personal development. Either way, it is most common to schedule regular Hypnotherapy /Coaching sessions with Claudia weekly.
It is important to understand that you must always activly participate in Claudia's behavioral changes, if you with to get results from her combination therapy approach. Claudia is the furthest thing away from a typical Holistic Behavioral and Hypnotherapist. Claudia is "action" oriented and requires participation from her clients, so they can achieve their enlightenment more quickly.
The ultimate purpose of therapy is to help you bring what you learn in session back into your life. Claudia will suggest various things you can do outside of your sessions, helping you to taking action towards your goals immediately.

What about medication vs. hypnotherapy?
It is well established that the long-term solution to mental and emotional problems and the pain they cause cannot be solved solely by medication. Instead of just treating the symptom, Hypnotherapy addresses the causes of our distress and the behavior patterns that curb your progress. You can best achieve sustainable growth and a greater sense of well-being with an integrative approach to wellness. Working with your medical doctor, you can determine what's best for you, and in some cases a combination of medication and therapy is the right course of action. It is not uncommon for Claudia's clients to reduce or more often eliminate their medications all together (always under the supervision of their perspective medical doctors). Claudia's "Behavioral Therapy" education is a holistic approach only, not psycho-therapy. She will be recommending an organic diet, getting more sleep, reducing caffeine and sugar, eliminating artificial sweeteners etc..
Do you take insurance, and how does that work?
To determine if you have health coverage through your insurance carrier, the first thing you should do is call them. Check your coverage carefully and make sure you understand their answers. Some helpful questions you can ask them:
- What are my mental health benefits?
- What is the coverage amount per hypnotherapy/Life Coaching session?
- How many therapy sessions does my plan cover?
- How much does my insurance pay for an out-of-network provider?
- Is approval required from my primary care physician, if so, what do I need to ask them for?
Does what we talk about in therapy remain confidential?
Confidentiality is one of the most important components between Claudia and her clients. Successful therapy requires the highest degree of trust, because of the highly sensitive subject matter that is usually not discussed anywhere but at Claudia Weber's office. Claudia will provide a written copy of her confidential disclosure agreement upon request, and you can expect that what you discuss in session will not be shared with anyone. This is called “Informed Consent”. Sometimes, however, you may want Claudia to share information or give an update to someone on your healthcare team (your physician, counselor, naturopathic doctor, attorney etc), but by law Claudia cannot release this information without obtaining your written permission. However...Claudia reserves the right to summarize your information and will never release her hand written notes to anyone for any reason, at any time.
California State law and Professional Ethics require ALL therapists of ALL types, to maintain confidentiality except for the following situations:
* Suspected past or present abuse or neglect of children, adults, and elders. This must be reported to the authorities (including Child Protection and law enforcement), based on information provided by the client or collateral sources.
* If the therapist has reason to suspect the client is seriously in danger of harming him/herself or has threatened to harm another person.
