The movie "The Secret" presents: The "Law of Attraction"
Rhonda Byrne's DVD movie and book "The Secret," has popularized the ideas about the Law of Attraction, put simply in the movie as Ask, Believe, Receive. The viral spread of "The Secret" has presented the ideas of law attraction to thousands of people, seeking to understand what life is all about. The Secret is a good introduction, but really it's just scraping the surface of what the Law of Attraction is all about. The Law of Attraction is nothing new, It's in the Jewish Book of Proverbs, (chapter 23, verse 7) "As man thinketh in his heart, so he is". Jesus said "Ask and it is given". Buddha (560 years BC) taught that "we are what we think". Plato (3,000 years BC) taught about Universal Laws. Albert Einstein believed in the power of imagination. Albert Einstein tried to disprove the Law of Attraction, and to his surprise...ended up proving it. So the idea of reality creation based on our thoughts has been around for a long time. Claudia agrees that history shows us, that only a tiny fraction of the population acually knew and understood the Universal "Law of Attraction", and how to use it. The Law of Attraction has been called many different things over the centuries, and it was strictly discussed and taught in quiet circles, and secret societies of the very rich & powerful families (royalty... etc). Anyone trying to master the Law of Attraction on their own, without a personal mentor, teacher or Coach (which is how it was taught in the past), will tell you that it's generally more dfficult and challenging then it's made out to sound in "The Secret" movie. This is especially true for those who haven't been exposed to this idea at all.
Teachings of Abraham-Hicks
The original version of "The Secret" movie was based on the teachings of Abraham. In 1985, Jerry and Esther Hicks began a series of conversations with "Abraham", a name chosen by a group of non-physical teachers. Esther Hicks delivers/channels the teachings of "Abraham". In Claudia's opinion, this is Law Attraction at it's clearest. If you want to find out more about Abraham/Hicks, Claudia encourages you to go and spend a few hours reading the hundreds of quotes and excerpts from their teachings. There's also some really great and short informational videos of Abraham/Hicks on "Youtube", that Claudia recommends you checking out.
In presenting The Secret, Rhonda Byrne not only presented a great DVD and book, introducing the Law of Attraction, but she also demonstrated Law of Attraction in Action. The viral marketing and phenomenal success of "The secret" wouldn't have been as successful had she not had a clear vision of what she wanted. Her vision was to empower others to live a life of joy, and "The Secret" was her vehicle to spread her message.
Changing your conscious thoughts is a fabulous start, but it is the chronic thoughts that contribute far more to reality creation. Rhonda Byrne put herself in the public eye and spotlight in order to bring this information to the world. That took courage, and I for one am very grateful to her for doing so. Her movie & book was written in a way that is understandable to the person who has never heard of it! I often refer clients to purchase the movie or read her book. We must all remember that we are human, and allow Rhonda the same opportunities to study and learn the Law of Attraction, as the rest of us. :)
Some Key Factors Missing From "The Secret"
Clean Up Your Stuff!
One of the key factors that Claudia believes Rhonda Byrne's "The Secret" doesn't cover, is clearing up your stuff! Claudia say's there are three keys to the The Secret. Ask, Believe, and Receive. You are asking all the time, but most of us are asking different things at different times unconsciously, even sometimes at the same time.Think about it, when you grumble about your mate; "he never puts his dirty clothes in the basket", or, "he's always rude to me when his friends are around". You're wishing your partner would put their clothes in the wash basket, or your partner would treat you with love & respectfully. BUT what you are constantly putting out is "he never" .... she doesn't respect me .... no-one listens to me.... etc. So instead of nagging and constantly complaining, maybe check out what you are chronically thinking about their behaviour and about the way people treat you. Remember ... the Universe doesn't care if you want or don't want something, the Universe will give you more of whatever it is that you are focusing on, even if that's bad.
Our Emotions:
Another important concept missing from "The Secret" movie is the importance of paying attention to our emotions. Abraham/Hicks talks about our emotions being the indicator for where our alignment is. If we are saying we want to be a relaxed person, but we are feeling uptight and worried, then we are going to be creating anxiety & stress in our lives. By becoming aware of our feelings, we can then make a different choice about how we think. Cleaning up our "stuff" is best done by working with a professional non-suggestive Hypnotherapist, Behavioral Therapist & Life Coach, to help clear those chronic beliefs that we reinforce by how we feel and the decisions we make about a situation. By honoring our feelings as our guidance system, we then have a built in alarm system that lets us know if we are moving in the direction of our dreams - or not! This of course is an on going learning experience & growth for all of us. :)Another aspect of our emotions that is fundamentally important, is to empower and infuse our intent with feeling as if it was already a reality. Sounds a lot easier then it actually is, Claudia will Coach you on this, to make it easier.
Contribute to Well Being:
Another very important factor Claudia feels is missing in Rhonda Byrne's movie "The Secret", is contributing to the well-being of others. There was a major emphasis on manifesting "stuff " in The Secret. Now there is nothing wrong with a nice car, piles of money, a beautiful home or vacations. But abundance flows where energy flows, and Claudia has been taught and truely believes that interpreting abundance as money and cars is an extremely limited view of abundance. We all deserve wealth and financial prosperity, however, she also thinks that if we can focus more on how we can contribute to increasing the good in a situation, we automatically align ourselves with a higher energy. With our children, helping them to understand "giving joyfully" is the same vibration as receiving. If we put out positive energy in our community we attract that back. Learning how to be happy, instead of always trying to convince others that you are right! (And that is a really good lesson for everyone).
True...Claudia has pointed out a few things of what she thinks "The Secret" movie has glossed over, but Claudia still strongly believes "The Secret" is a really useful and positive tool in your enlightenment process. It's a great way to introduce the ideas of Law of Attraction to yourself, your family and friends. Watching the movie, or reading "The Secret " book, is a really good way to bring about a discussion. Claudia feels that kids don't have as many chronic negative beliefs as we adults do, so she suggests that you watch it with your kids too, so they can start practicing conscious thinking, and reality creation. :)
